I’m taking a moment to write a quick postcard as there hasn’t been an update in a while. I’m currently traveling across the US, from the Northeast to the Northwest, though taking a southern route to visit friends and family I rarely get to see. I was in New Orleans and Austin last week. I have spent this week in Arizona, first in Sedona and now in Tucson. I’m at the house of Jon Ray, a long time friend and inspiration with his band Skincage. Bough and Skincage played a short impromptu shared set last night for Jon’s birthday. The set was recorded to cassette tape, and plans are in the works to use it as source material for an upcoming collaborative release. For now, listen to Skincage here:

Upon getting settled in Portland, my next place of residence, I hope to expand the scope of Bough House / Mammorex to include other artists. My casual initial inquiries amongst some gifted friends were met with great enthusiasm, so I expect the rest of the year to feature limited edition releases of special music from simpatico artists. Mammorex is morphing into the wing of operations that oversees this sort of activity. There are already plans for 2-3 cassette releases slated for 2012, and possibly an LP or two.
Work with Bough is prolific as ever. There is enough material for at least one full length and several shorter releases, though it may take me just as long to find and understand the way it all needs to cohesively gel. The Night’s Electric Dog mini-lp CD release is on hold, in the interest of directing funds towards more current matters. There are still a few limited edition handmade copies of this release left for sale, though they will be gone very soon. Email bough.house at gmail dot com or visit http://bough.bandcamp.com/ to grab a copy while you still can.
I have been asked to join Portland’s NIGHT HEIR on their next epic album. Details TBA, but in the meantime you may listen to their excellent last album here:

Happy Equinox, and have a fruitful Spring.
Best,
Andrew
